spring cleaning

With as tiny as my house is, you would think that  I'd content myself with the way things look and just be done with it.  But no, things are always changing!  Today was a day for my form of spring cleaning as I decluttered our "entryway" wall and gave it a bit of a face lift. I've been wanting a bulletin board, but honestly keep forgetting to buy one.  Silly, right?  So, I improvised.  Clothesline, meet home decor!

I knotted the ends of a length of twine then nailed it to the wall through the knots for added strength.  With the twine in place, I grabbed some of the millions of clothespins I had in the cupboard and started hanging up cards and pictures we've received in the mail.  With all of that free wall space, I had space for a few pieces of art (in newly painted IKEA frames) and a wedding photo.  Clean, kind of eccentric, fresh, new.  I like it.

What's on your spring cleaning agenda?
