chatting with mr. f

I got the biggest compliment from Mr. F the other day as I was unpacking my bags.  While out west, I purchased two feed sack bags and about 15 feet of blank canvas from a ranch supply store.  I immediately knew what I wanted to do with both.  The bags are turning into an ottoman and wall art while the canvas I'm going to paint and turn into a giant drop cloth rug.  Mr. F listened to me gaily babble on about these plans, holding up the bags and canvas for him to get the full effect.  He smiled and told me how he loved how creative I am.  That simple sentence meant the world to me.  I told him so later in the day and the compliment bourgeoned.  He explained that he scarcely ever has a clue of how my schemes are going to turn out and while he used to worry over this, he now just goes with it.  "You have good taste," he said, "I trust you. Your projects always turn out well."  What started out as, hey, you're kind of crafty, morphed into, I trust you and your taste.  You're doing good things.  I still get tingly thinking of it.  It inspires me to do more and to do better.  He inspires me to do so...gosh that was a great day!
