ghost of christmas present: tallulahs holiday show

Since Thanksgiving, my energy has been poured into preparing for the annual Tallulahs Holiday Show.  I met the owner and jeweler, Cindy, through a mutual friend upon arrival in Atlanta and just like that,  another kindred had been found.  When she learned of my illustrations, she invited me to participate in her show.

The sale was last Friday and felt more like a Christmas party than a sale as Cindy's friends and clients flocked through the doors.  A ten-hour day flew by as I met so many lovely people and learned from Cindy and her husband the ins and outs of running an art business.  Thanks to them, I feel so much more prepared to make steps forward in the future and see just what else I can do with See What I Sea Designs.

I really need to tip my hat at Cindy for her design plan for the show.  Fresh pine boughs and magnolia leaves covered every surface and were offset by fruits and flowers.  Deep colored silks invoked the lush feelings of Christmas and offset her jewelry beautifully.  And I have decided that I will forevermore use natural elements in my holidayscape, especially magnolia leaves and pomegranates.
