neverland

Living with family has been really good for me if for only one reason; I have a constant audience to show off pieces I working on.  The inner five year-old that dwells in my psyche craves constant feedback.  And as soon as a piece is finished, I run to show whoever might be around, grinning like a preschooler with a finger painting ready for the fridge.  And let me tell you, the reaction is always fridge worthy.  Just enough praise to keep me motivated and my creative juices flowing.  Having this support come from family just makes the whole process all the sweeter and my inner child even happier.

I've been painting a lot and plan on painting even more.  In fact, my real plan is to start selling some of my original work.  As much as I love it, I'm turning into quite the hoarder with it and it's time to share the love.  So look forward to posts in the future about pieces for sale.  While I prepare for that, I'm also trying to figure out what my style is like as an artist.  My work with Kitty's resume helped me pinpoint that a bit, but it requires further investigation.  While I can't fully describe the aesthetic I'm pursuing, I definitely feel like I'm heading gin the right direction.  Hopefully you guys will go on the ride with me!
