Remember this photo? It's one of my favorite photos in the history of photos. That was one happy moment and that is exactly what the photo captures. Well, I took said photo on my phone and then edited it in Instagram. Awesome possum, but then what? I wanted to print it but in its edited, instagram glory. I researched printing the square photos and really came up short. Either there was not enough information or you could get magnets. I just wanted photos. No coasters, calendars, or other doodads, just good ol' paper photos.
Enter PostalPix, a smartphone app that offered affordable prints and in a hot hurry. I read a few reviews and all were rave. I thought, why not? A quick download later, I entered the PostalPix universe. It accesses photos from your phone, instagram or otherwise, and lets you choose from a variety of sizes and quantities. A few clicks later, it was done. That was on a Thursday. My prints arrived (ready for this?!) on MONDAY! Can you believe that?! Ok, maybe I've been living in Cyprus for too long and am no longer accustomed to things taking less than three months to get lost in the post, but 2 days?! Hot dang! To top it off, the quality is stunning. Popped in an inexpensive frame from Target, and it's a cheap, easy, meaningful gift for my parents. And me.
