After a few calm days, Andrea is making a final appearance on her stretch northward. Blue skies and hazy air filled the bulk of our Saturday, perfect for lounging at the pool, reading, and a cool glass of something delicious. Now the calm and bliss of summer days is giving way to an impenetrable wall of clouds, carrying unknown mischief and probably more rain.
As much as I have savored the sun these past couple of days, I never get sick of watching storm clouds roll in. The color is mesmerizing, the shape, the movement. I love seeing a storm in all of its glory brew from many miles off. That way I can see the full splendor of the cloud formations and watch the lightning strike without any fear of the aftermath. And really, I love the rain. It calls me inside, asks me to work away at another project and gives me an excuse to curl up and ready awhile longer. My introverted nature was made for rainy days...even on Saturdays.
