Dear Troodos,
Thank you for being cooler than Nicosia. By a lot. Thanks for fields full of Queen Anne's Lace and villages full of actual lace. Thank you for clouds, which we don't see in the valley very often anymore. For a place to run into dear friends, crisp breezes, and for cliffside drinking fountains. Thank you for trees! Glorious things that they are! And thank you, most of all, for a really fun day. Sister Bear and I had the time of our lives! I'm longing to see you again already and I think Sister might just move to Cyprus to bond with you more often.
Lots of love,
engquist
a sweet reprieve!!!!! yay for mountains and cool air and pretty flowers! :)
ReplyDeleteHi there - thanks for swinging by my blog and commenting, and I'm so glad I found yours in return. What an adventure it sounds like you and your husband have embarked upon! I lived in Spain for four years (tried to stay forever) and that time abroad was some of the happiest and most special of my life. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteOh thank god for the mountains eh!! Its so nice to escape up their when it gets too hot down in Nicosia....I always wonder what its like to live in one of the quaint little villages.....maybe a bit quiet but boy would it be cool!!
